[Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3)] is a
program that is managed by the organization or
the company together with the workers to
prevent work accidents and health problems
due to work, by identifying factors that can lead
to those work accidents and health problems.

In Indonesia, it is regulated by:


• Law No. 1 of 1970 on Occupational Safety
• Ministerial Regulation No. 5/1996 on the
Management System on Occupational Safety and
Health
• Ministerial Regulation No.9/2016 on
Occupational Safety and Health on Height related

Purpose of Occupational Safety and Health
Program
• To prevent, minimize, and
even to omit work
accidents and health
issues caused by work
• To reduce the cost faced
by the organization due to
work accidents and health

by:
– Making and socializing Occupational Safety and Health
programs throughout the organization
– The root or cause of every work accidents that happen are
analyzed to prevent future similar accidents
– Showing specifically the organization’s occupational safety
and health targets
Safety Awareness Programs
Safety Awareness Programs attempt to instill
symbolic and substantive changes to a safety
program.
