ADJECTIVES – a word that

describes a noun or a
pronoun. It comes before
the noun it describes
TWO KINDS OF ADJECTIVES
1. DESCRIPTIVE ADJECTIVE
- describes the noun,
describe shape, size,
sound, taste and many other
things
2. LIMITING ADJECTIVE
- expresses number, order,
quantity or amount

DEGREES OF ADJECTIVE
1. POSITIVE DEGREE – when
there is no comparison
Milk is expensive.
2. COMPARATIVE DEGREE –
when there are two people,
places or things are compared.
We add –er or more / less then
than.
Milk is more expensive than powdered juice.
3. SUPERLATIVE DEGREE – when
there are three or more people,
places or things are being
described. We add –est or most/
least.
Milk is the most expensive than any other
beverages.
