virus (FSC) disease have a lethality rate of
approximately 50%. In previous outbreaks,
rates were 25% to 90%.
Symptoms People are not contagiosias until symptoms
appear. They are characterized by sudden
onset of fever, severe weakness and
muscular, head and throat aches, which is
followed by vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes,
renal and hepatic dysfunction and, in some
cases, internal and external hemorrhages.
Transmission Subsequently, the virus spreads in the
community by transmitting from person to
person, by direct contact (through mucous
membranes or from skin continuity solutions)
with organs, blood, secretions, or other
bodily fluids of people Infected.

Diagnosis Other infectious diseases such as malaria,


typhoid fever, or meningitis must be ruled out
before a clinical diagnosis of EVE is
established. The diagnostic methods
detailed below serve to confirm that
symptoms are caused by Ebola virus
infection.
