CONCLUSION

Throughout this experiment, we learnt the kinemtics motion of a Crank and Slotted Lever
Quick Return mechanism and evaluated the efficiency that it would offer if it is applied to a
machine tool. Based on the results, it showed that cutting stroke occupies higher percentage of
revolution compared to return stroke, which increased the time taken and energy required in
order to operate. In every experiment, there are always errors that can affect the results of the
experiment and reduce the accuracy of the data. However, we managed to get almost accurate
and same data as in theory since the average error is around 2.4% only. As our tabulated graph
has almost the same shape to the theory of this experiment. Therefore, it can be conclude that we
managed to achieved the main objective of this experiment and were able to conduct the
experiment smoothly.
