It depends on the type of cable. Generally accepted spec for good-quality


RG-59U (solid copper core and 95% copper braid shield) is 250m; RG-
6U is 350m; and RG-11U is 500m. Signal won't simply stop working
beyond that, but the longer you go, the more chance of interference and
picking up noise, and the more signal degradation you'll start to see.If you
need longer than that, you can use baluns with Cat-5e or Cat-6 cable -
passive baluns should give you up to 1000m, and active baluns generally
claim up to 2km-2.5km.
