Lab 1: Introduction to trainer: Identifying discrete logic gates, IC’s, Pin
configurations.

Objectives: To demonstrate the operation and characteristics of typical discrete components like logic
switches, LED indicators, especially the various operations of the Digital Trainer Kit.

Apparatus and Equipment required:

 Prototyping Board(bread board)

 DC Power Supply(5v)
 Light Emitting Diode(LED)
 Digital IC’s:
 7408 Quad 2 input AND
 7432 Quad 2 input OR
 7400 Quad 2 input NAND
 7402 Quad 2 input NOR
 Connecting wires

Evaluation: Signatures of Lab Engineer:

Task # 1.1:
Use the ICs of individual gates to construct the circuit and verify the truth table of all gates.
