As we discuss in our lectures about the assignment of ST106 for the
term S18, I hope that can achieve it effectively.

Status Description:
Our country Syria is going through a severe crisis at all levels politically
and economically, administratively and socially and psychologically ...
etc., which has increased the influence of various external environmental
factors also impact on the internal components of the environment to
public institutions and private one, which is reflected in the quality of
processes and the possibility of obtaining the necessary resources as well
as also the administrative style and the responses associated with each of
the foregoing, whether by senior management of the institutions or by its
staff acts.
Therefore, we will discuss the development of our institutions during the
crisis (2011-2018) in terms of the following topics:
1- Leadership and Sustainability in Higher Education:
Discuss the role of University's leadership practices in facing the
crises.
2- Labor market and modernization of Business education:
Illustrate the trend of Syrian markets during crises and how Business
faculties should face these trends. Suggest some methods and tools for
business education to develop their methods.
3- Forging research links between business and academia.
Discuss thoroughly how academic research should address main issues
during crises? And further how business research deal with and bridge
the gap between reality and academia.
4- Ministry of Higher Education Strategy
Example: the Syrian Ministry of Higher Education's strategy and quality
assurance standards during the crisis
How did the Syrian universities continue during the crisis?
Is it complied with international standards for quality during the
crisis?
5- Leadership practices that encourage managerial innovation in (Syrian
companies or universities)
6. Executive succession and strategic change

7. Leadership practices that encourage strategic thinking

8. Strategic Change and Executive Succession

Adhere to the following:

1. Set up working groups to no more than 4 students

2. Can choose subject by more than one group in which case the choice of
different subjects within the same subject or choose companies from
different industries
3. In the time that adoption is the subject by the Group must work group
collectively to reach the main objective of the job
4- Adopt a methodology of scientific research in the formulation of
function through:
1. Introduction
2. Previous Studies (6-8 MODERN studies (Abstract) some Arabic
studies – After 2018)
3. Research problem along with Research questions
4. Importance of the research
5. Objectives of the research (Academic and Empirical)
6. Sample and the statistical community
7. Hypotheses (3 hypotheses as much as possible) - independent and
dependent variables
8. Theoretical/Literature review side of the research
9. The practical side/Imperial study (an overview of the industry and
the companies studied - statistical analysis to validate assumptions
or error)
10. Results - suggestions
11. References
12.Appendix (not inclusive in the limit 25 pages)
13. No more than 25 pages
