BAE Systems Executive Chairman’s Awards.

RADFORD, Virginia (February 12, 2018)-BAE Systems awarded Christopher Finley,

communications and community relations manager, with a 2017 Executive Committee
Chairman’s Award in the embracing responsible behavior category for the company’s various
veterans outreach efforts. The Chairman’s Awards program is a global competition that
recognizes extraordinary people and performance in innovating for success, exceeding
customer expectations, and embracing responsible behavior.

“Over 5,000 veterans and their family members have been positively affected by our
team’s passion and diligence. As we continue to deliver products and services to better equip
and prepare the Warfighter, our team makes saying “thank you” the centerpiece of our
contributions to those who protect us and the communities in which they live,” stated Finley.

Finley is the communications and community relations manager for BAE Systems. His
department was recognized for planning and executing 12 high profile activities for veterans
and their families. These events spanned seven municipalities and 12 counties throughout Tri-
Cities Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

Finley has over 20 years of industry experience. He is a past president of the Blue Ridge
Chapter Public Relations Society of America. Finley is also a part-time adjunct instructor at
Radford University in the School of Communication. He has a master's degree in Corporate and
Professional Communication from Radford University and a bachelor's degree in
Communication from Lees-McRae College.
