Stained Glass Window Math Project

Directions: You will be graphing linear equations to create a stained glass
window!

Step 1: Complete the tables for the linear equations on the following pages
titled “Work Pages.” There is room below each table to show your work. You
MUST show your work for tables 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7 in order to receive full
credit. Each table will make one line on your stained glass window, for a total
of 7 lines.

Step 2: Once your tables are complete, use a pencil to graph each line on the
graph located towards the end of “Work Pages”. Each line should extend to
the END of the page on both sides of the line. Draw arrows at the ends of
each line. Use a ruler.

Step 3: Double check your work.

Step 4: Trace over your lines with BLACK marker or sharpie. Use a ruler.

Step 5: Using MARKERS or HIGHLIGHTERS, color each section in your window.

No section should be left uncolored. You may not leave sections white or
color them in black. Sections that touch cannot be the same color!

Step 6: Grade yourself according to the rubric on the last page of this
packet and turn in this entire packet to your teacher before the end of the
school day on Friday, May 20th.
