Dear PVElite team,

I have this error while I am trying to do nozzle loading analysis with WRC
107:

Error/Warning Messages for WRC107 Analysis 1

Warning - The ratio Ro/Rm, 0.6313 , must be > 0.0571 and < 0.571.

Can anyone kindly explain to me what the Ro and Rm stands for?

I believe it is not ASME VIII as I've tried looking in it, believe it's under
WRC 107 in which I do not have.

Nozzle input window and the calculated maximum stress ratio is fine (i.e.
passed), but the error shown above comes out on the final report.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Han

Dear Han
As a matter of the fact, ro means the outside radius of attachment such as
nozzle and Rm means the mean radius of cylindrical shell. As you know
WRC 107 has limitation for ro/Rm that when this value exceeds from
limitation, The error/warning message will appear. also you can not find
them on ASME code. for ratio other than WRC limitation , you can use
FEA method such as NOZZLE PRO. software. Also I can send you the
WRC 107 code but I donot know how i can attach this file to my reply.you
can leave the email address for me and I will send you the WRC standard
with Email.
