I am interested in becoming a writer in your English Composition I class. I read on your board that you
were looking for writers and I thought it seemed like a good opportunity.

I don’t really have any actual writing experience, but all throughout high school I’ve been writing in
English which helps prepare for opportunities like this. Even though I don’t have much experience this
will help me become a better writer and help with opportunities down the road. I have taken all the
right English classes up to this point so I’m pretty good when it comes to writing and grammar. All these
reasons are why I think I am prepared for this opportunity.
