Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
We have been through COVID-19 pandemic for three years. It was an unprecedented misfortune, resulting difficulty
for us to interact in person. However, as the pandemic comes to a resolution, I am happy to welcome all of our friends
and colleagues to enjoy the beautiful city of Bandung, with its nation-renowned street foods and beautiful nature
sceneries.
On behalf of PERKI Bandung, in collaboration with the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, Universitas
Padjadjaran and Yayasan Peduli Peduli Jantung dan Pembuluh Darah Bandung, we are delighted to welcome you to
the Bandung Cardiovascular Update 2023, which will be held on 1, 6-9 July 2023. This will be a hybrid event, with both
online and offline workshops.
“Fostering the Excellence in Cardiovascular Clinical Practice” is this year's theme, aiming to bring
cardiologists, academicians, as well as clinicians together to share current knowledge and best practices
in cardiovascular aspects. We will deliver current updates in cardiovascular medicine through
symposiums and workshops given by international and regional speakers, as well as oral and poster
presentations. The event is inclusive for all cardiologists and other specialist, general practitioners, nurses,
medical students, and young researchers to participate.
It is never too late to pursue knowledge. By holding this event, it can be a good opportunity for all of us
to improve our shared knowledge hence implementing best practices, and hopefully be able to overcome
various problems that arise in the fields of cardiology and vascular medicine in Indonesia.

TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. This year's theme for Bandung Cardiovascular Update (BCU) 2023 is: "Fostering The Excellence in
Cardiovascular Clinical Practice". The cases from all the topic of Cardiovascular Disease in accordance to this
theme.
2. You have to be registered as symposium participant of BCU 2023.
3. The submitted case must follow certain case format (see below)
4. Case submission will be done through https://bcu.perkibandung.com before 30 May, 2023.
5. Accepted case will be announced via email on 30 June, 2023, and presented LIVE on BCU event
8. Accepted cases will be granted the following prizes:
a. Cash
b. Certificate of Appreciation
9. The winners will be announced on 9 July, 2023 on BCU event
FORMAT
1. The case is submitted in the power point format (.ppt/.pptx), power point template can be downloaded
on BCU website in "Download" section.
2. The case is written in English.
3. The case consists of a maximum of 10 slides.
4. Maximum duration of presentation is 10 minutes.

Abstract Submission
TERMS OF REFERENCE
1. This year's theme for Bandung Cardiovascular Update (BCU) 2023's free-paper competition accepts all
cardiovascular-related case reports (and serial cases) and Original study (including systematic review and meta-
analysis) to be presented at our event.
2. Each category (case report and original study) will be presented either as an oral presentation or a poster
presentation.
3. Submitted abstracts must be unpublished in any publication format before the submission.
4. Abstracts must follow a certain format which can be accessed through our website: https://bcu.perkibandung.com
5. Authors must submit their abstract through https://bcu.perkibandung.com before 3 June 2023.
6. Accepted abstracts will be announced via author's email on 12 June 2023 and should be presented LIVE at BCU 2023.
All information regarding oral presentation and poster presentation format and guidelines will be announced via
author’s email.
7. All corresponding/presenting author(s) must be registered as participants of BCU 2023 before 15 June 2023.
8. All categories will have the three best presentations. The winners will be announced on the Closing of BCU 2023 and
will be granted the following prizes:
