This course will discuss important aspects in reading, interpreting and making
conclusion of EEG recording in daily practice which includes EEG in infant epilepsy
syndrome, childhood epilepsy syndrome, adult epilepsy syndrome, convulsive status
epilepticus and non-convulsive status epilepticus.

congruency with EEG pattern, epileptic and non-epileptic events, epileptic zone
localization determination based on EEG and imaging, and EEG in critically ill patients.

Somatosensory Evoked Potential (SSEP), Visual Evoked Potential (VEP), Brainstem
Auditory Evoked Potential (BAEP), Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential (VEMP), Motor
Evoked Potential (MEP) and neurophysiology examinations in autonomic nervous system
including Sympathetic Skin Response (SSR) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV),
examination technique and clinical correlation. This program can help participants
interpret the results of Evoked Potential and neurophysiology examination in autonomic
nervous system in daily practice.

Abstract preparation
1. Abstracts must be submitted online via the abstract submission site. Abstracts submitted by email will not be
accepted.
2. Abstract themes can be drawn from all branches of knowledge in Neurology and can be in the form of research
or case reports.
3. Every first letter in the abstract title is written in capital letters, for example: "The Effect of Hyponatremia on the
Outcome of Tuberculosis Meningitis".
4. Research abstract must contain:
a. Background
b. Method, Result
c. Discussion
d. Conclusion
5. Case report abstract must contain:
a. Background
b. Case Summary
c. Discussion
d. Conclusion
6. The full abstract text must be more than 100 characters but may not exceed 500 characters.
7. Abstract should contain an original material not published at the time of submission.
8. Abstract could be submitted in Bahasa or English.
9. All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in the text. e.g: Modified Rankin Scale (mRS). Do not
define abbreviations in the title.
10. Use generic drug names.
11. Tables, charts or other graphics are not allowed
12. The author who will present must ensure that all co-authors have approved the contents and its submission to
JAKNEWS-9 before the submission

Review and Notification


• Each abstract will be reviewed by 2 expert consultant in Neurology.
• During the review process, the name and origin of the author's institution were not informed to the reviewers.
• The final decision for abstract acceptance is determined by the committee and is absolute and cannot be
contested
• Accepted abstracts will be announced on February 13, 2022.

Abstract publication
• The abstract will be published in JakNEWS 9 proceeding book.
• The rights to publication belong to JakNEWS 9 committee.

Registration
• Presenting authors must be registered participant. Only abstract of authors who have paid their registration
fees will be processed and included for publication
• For presenters who have not paid the registration fee by February 15, 2022, at 23:59 WIB, the abstract will not be
processed further.
