3. Cover bottom of prepared baking

casserole, covered, 35 minutes.
Remove from oven. Make eight indents
in chicken mixture with the back of a
spoon. Crack an egg into a custard
cup; slip egg into an indent. Repeat with
remaining eggs. Sprinkle with ¹⁄4 tsp.
black pepper. Bake, uncovered,
10 to 15 minutes or until whites are set
and yolks are thickened. Remove. Let
stand 10 minutes. Serve with desired
toppings. Makes 8 servings.

muffin cups. Top each with a tomato slice.

30 OREO Cookies, divided
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
35 starlight mints, divided
4 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate
2 oz. BAKER'S White Chocolate

MAKE IT
HEAT oven to 325°F.
USE pulsing action of food processor to process 18 cookies until finely
ground. Add butter; mix well. Press onto bottom of 9-inch springform pan.
Bake 10 min.
CRUSH 30 mints, then chop 10 of remaining cookies. Beat cream cheese
and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time,
mixing on low speed after each just until blended. Stir in crushed mints
and chopped cookies. Pour over crust.
BAKE 55 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife around rim of pan to
loosen cake; cool before removing rim. Refrigerate cheesecake 4 hours.
MEANWHILE, crush remaining mints, then chop remaining cookies.
Cover baking sheet with parchment. Melt chocolates separately as
directed on packages. Spread semi-sweet chocolate into thin layer on
prepared baking sheet; top with tablespoonfuls of the white chocolate.
Swirl gently with spoon. Top with crushed mints and chopped cookies.
Refrigerate until firm.
BREAK chocolate bark into small pieces; sprinkle over cheesecake
before serving.

Variation:
Substitute 3/4 cup crushed candy canes for the starlight mints. Reserve
1 Tbsp. crushed candy for sprinkling over the swirled chocolate bark;
stir remaining crushed candy into the cheesecake batter before baking
as directed.

whole family involved in creating
bright and cheerful Christmas scenes
throughout their Southport, CT, home.
Using pom-poms, yarn, ribbon, and
felt, the author of the crafty blog At
Charlotte’s House makes easy, do-it-
yourself holiday decorations with her
kids—Eleanor, Oliver, Martha, Louisa,
and Arthur. Gathering in the kitchen, where she turned
a narrow pantry into an art-supply closet and coated
a thrift store dining table in durable Maxx Gloss paint,
they make new ornaments and garlands to add to those
from previous years. “A lot of my decorations are thrifted
or sale fi nds that we put our own touches on. I stock up
on great deals in a broad color palette to make each
year easier, and I blend the old and new decorations
together,” she says. Instead of traditional holiday colors,
Charlotte uses her home’s palette of pink, green, and
blue. “If you look at vintage Christmas decorations, you’ll
see they don’t have to be the traditional red and green.
There are blues, lighter greens, and pinks, and they can
work with what you already have,” she says.

season. “It’s a time of year
when we all want to bake
something festive, but
there’s not a lot of time or
room for error,” says Zoë,
who lives in Minneapolis
with her husband and

couple and their two kids
are spending Christmas
at their home away from
home, an A-frame cabin in
Wisconsin. There’s never an
itinerary, but there’s always
something going on. During
the countdown to Christmas
morning, they’ll cut a tree
at a nearby farm, Alison’s
parents and brother’s family
will arrive, and they’ll spend
plenty of time sledding,
snowshoeing, and sitting
around a fire.
You might think Alison,
the organizer for this holiday
away, would be sweating the
details. Hardly. The creator
of the DIY-centric blog Deuce
Cities Henhouse stays as
chill as the craft cocktails
she has icing in the snow.
It helps that she’s a
planner. Days before they
depart their Minneapolis
home, she gathers party gear
and decorations into bins and
premakes a few provisions
so all that’s left is a stop at
the local grocery.
She keeps her focus on
what’s most important to
her crew: morning cofee,
good music (Jef is in a band),
and making Christmas
memories for the kids—
matching pj’s included.
They all help trim the tree
and wrap garland around
the banister. And once the
bufalo-check stockings
are hung from the mantel,

1. Set a heavy cutting board or
15×11-inch baking pan along the edge
of the counter. (Skewers will wedge
under the cutting board while candied
hazelnuts set.) Place parchment paper
on floor below to catch caramel drips.
2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place
hazelnuts in a shallow baking pan. Bake
5 to 8 minutes or until toasted. Transfer
to a towel; rub to remove loose skins.
Gently twist a wood skewer into each
hazelnut while warm; set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan stir together
sugar, the water, and corn syrup. Use a
pastry brush dipped in water to brush
down any sugar crystals on sides of
saucepan as mixture comes to boil.
Bring mixture to boiling over
medium-high without stirring. Reduce
heat to medium. Once mixture starts to
caramelize (about 15 minutes), remove
from heat and let stand 5 minutes,
stirring occasionally.
4. Dip a skewered hazelnut into
caramel and lift to see if caramel is
ready. When caramel coats hazelnut
and drips off in long strands, secure
end of skewer under cutting board,
letting caramel drip onto the
parchment paper below. Repeat with
remaining hazelnuts. Let stand until
caramel is set, about 15 minutes.

hazelnuts; arrange on cake.

SWISS BUTTERCREAM
1. In a large heatproof bowl whisk
together egg whites and sugar. (Mixture
will be thick and grainy.) Place bowl over
a saucepan of simmering water, being
careful that bowl doesn’t touch water.
Whisk 10 minutes or until 160°F, sugar is
completely dissolved, and mixture is
smooth. Remove bowl from saucepan.
2. Beat mixture with a mixer on
medium-high 8 to 12 minutes or until
light, fluffy, glossy, and stiff peaks form.
3. Transfer ¹⁄2 cup meringue to a pastry
bag fitted with a ¹⁄4-inch round tip (to
pipe the mushrooms); set aside.
4. Let bowl with remaining meringue sit
at room temperature 10 minutes. Beat
in butter 2 Tbsp. at a time on medium
10 minutes or until fluffy. After all the
butter has been added, beat 1 minute
more or until buttercream is creamy
and glossy. Beat in vanilla and a
pinch of salt.
5. Divide the buttercream in half. Stir
almond praline mixture into one half.
(Chill remaining buttercream until
needed, up to 2 days. To soften, let sit at
room temperature 2 hours, then place
bowl over saucepan of simmering water
and heat 1 minute. Beat with a mixer on
medium-high until creamy.)

1. Preheat oven to 250°F. Pipe half the
meringue in the pastry bag into ³⁄4- to
1-inch mounds (mushroom caps) on a
baking sheet lined with parchment
paper (about 20 mounds). Pipe
remaining meringue into squat stems
that come to a point (about
20 stems). Bake 30 minutes. Turn off
oven; let meringues stand in cooling
oven 1 hour. (Meringues can be made
1 day ahead. Store in an airtight
container at room temperature.)
2. Using a paring knife or wooden
skewer, poke a small hole into center of
flat side of mounds. Dip stem tips in
melted white chocolate, then insert into
holes in mounds to create mushrooms.
If desired, paint tops of mushrooms with
luster dust.
TO ASSEMBLE
1. Unroll cooled cake. Spread praline
buttercream in an even layer over cake.
Roll cake back up into a log, lifting end
of towel to guide roll.
2. Cut off a few inches from the end of
roll at an angle to make a branch.
Transfer long portion (the log) to a
serving platter. Frost one end of branch
with enough buttercream that it sticks to
log; gently press branch onto the top of
log. Frost entire cake, dragging a
spatula to create texture. Decorate with
dragées and Meringue Mushrooms.

What is Ozempic®?

Before using OZEMPIC®, talk to your healthcare provider about low
blood sugar and how to manage it. Tell your healthcare provider if you are
taking other medicines to treat diabetes, including insulin or sulfonylureas.
Know the medicines you take. Keep a list of them to show your healthcare provider
and pharmacist when you get a new medicine.
How should I use OZEMPIC®?
• OZEMPIC® is injected under the skin (subcutaneously) of your stomach
(abdomen), thigh, or upper arm. Do not inject OZEMPIC® into a muscle
(intramuscularly) or vein (intravenously).
• Do not mix insulin and OZEMPIC® together in the same injection.
• Change (rotate) your injection site with each injection. Do not use the same site
for each injection.
• Talk to your healthcare provider about how to prevent, recognize and manage low
blood sugar (hypoglycemia), high blood sugar (hyperglycemia), and problems
you have because of your diabetes.
What are the possible side effects of OZEMPIC®?
OZEMPIC® may cause serious side effects, including:
