Hi Ms.

Mia,

Good evening!

In behalf of the class, allow me to respond to your queries below. Please see response
in blue.

We would like to determine the top 5 best mudstone or limestone samples for
nannoplankton analysis and palynology. Zare recommended the following samples for
nannofossil analysis, which are all mudstones....Kindly inform us if this would be the
final list of samples recommended for dating? And when will be the initial Paleodating
results?
>> May I clarify if you want us to recommend 5 samples out of the 8 samples
recommended by Zare for palynology?

And when will be the initial Paleodating results?

>> Since Zare is the only one doing the paleodating analysis, we would like
to ask for your understanding that we might not be able to provide the
results as soon as possible. May we know when you'll need the results so
that we may plan accordingly?

How much will be the academe rate per sample? Is it P1,000 or P1,500? And please advise us
regarding the payment terms.
>> Muni, for your handling, please.

An additional petrographic work is being suggested by Sir Gerry to the students.

Already contacted Maryam to verify the porosity of sandstones of the Guinlo formation.
>> Unfortunately, we are not trained to analyse the porosity of sandstones
using petrography. Some GeoTech companies are capable to do this. I think
the company where Michael Tubog works provides this kind of service. You
may contact Michael Tubog for inquiries: tubogmichael@gmail.com.

Part of the planned SC 74 Work Program for year 2019, is much related to the results of
the Geology 215 overall fieldwork integration.
>> Traditionally, Geol 215 takes one year to complete. The 1st semester
(Aug-Dec) is usually allotted for the post-field analysis and 2nd semester for
discussion and report writing. Please consider this in your planning.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Chatty Mae M. Go
