Summary

Australian redclaw crayfish is a native species to Australia. It is farmed commercially in


Queensland and Northern Territory. It has also become a trendy species in Taiwan recently due
to its diseases resistance and rapid growth. In this project, we foresee the need. Malaysia has all
the criteria needed to success the project:

1. Suitable temperature to optimize growth, it can be breeded locally all year round;
2. Marvelous taste of redclaw crayfish which the flesh is highly identical to lobster meat,
thus it can act as a lower cost substitution for lobster in restaurant.
