Introduction
Dairy is an important source of income to small/marginal farmers and Agricultural laborers. The manure of dairy animals provides a
good source of organic matter for improving soil fertility and crop yield. The dung is used as a fuel for domestic purpose as also for
running engines for drawing water from well (under bio gas). The surplus and agricultural byproducts are gainfully utilized for feeding
the animals.

Since agriculture is mostly seasonable, establishment of dairy unit provides employment throughout the year. The proposed projeill
envisage the supply of pure cattle breeds to the local areas and for the promoter. It will give a rationale income throughout the year. I
having the ability and efficiency for running this dairy unit.

Objectives

1. To produce and supply quality calves to the neighboring village farmers


2. To follow artificial insemination for multiplication purpose and have planned to promote the same among
the surrounding farmers.
3. To promote biogas plant in rural areas
4. To get one calf from one cow in a year
5. To promote fodder cultivation and vermin – compost production
6. To create awareness about organic farming and its benefits in improving the soil fertility
7. To carry out Extension Consultancy Serviceson the above subjects.

Location and situation of the area of operation


I am going to start S.SUDHARSHAN DAIRY FARM & CONSULTANCY SERVICEat T.PUDUPATTI,village in
THUMMAKKUNDU(PO),USILAMPATTI(TK),MADURAI (D.t). 625529.
Future thrust areas :

1. Recycling dairy wastes to use in agriculture production


2. To increase the use of organic manures
3. To explore the possibilities of value addition from mimanure.
4. To start a vermi production unit by using the dairy

The veterinary service:

To veterinary service is available to the dairy farm by visiting doctors from USILAMPATTI taluk to carry out the following items .

Conclusion:

The project is going to be started with an interest to provide service to the near by farmers in the area of operation. In order to help
them to come up and raise their social economic status this rural service is planned.

As per the techno economic assures and financial analysis reveals that the project is financially bankable, economically viable and
technically feasible.

Hence I request that the project may please be considered and sanctioned. This project is also eligible under the composite back ended
subsidy of 36% provided by NABARD under Agri Clinic & Agri Business Centers scheme.
