Dear Diary,

Last week, my school celebrated National Day.lt began with an opening

ceremony at 8.00 a.m. Our headmaster, Encik Hamdan, gave an inspiring speech

about how we can show our love and loyalty to our country. We then sang our
national anthem at 9.00 a.m. Everyone stood straight and sang Negaraku proudly

as the Jalur Gemilangwas raised.

This was followed by a cultural dance competition at 9.30 a.m. Pupils of

diflerent races wore their traditionai clothes and performed on the stage. Then at
11.00 a.m., there was a choir competition which was participated by every class

in my school.

The prize-giving ceremony started at 12.30 p.m. We were so'happy

because our class was announced as the overall winner. The celebration ended at

1.30 p.m.
