At the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:
1.) be able to identify the Gregorian Chant.

2.) be able to sing Gregorian Chant.

3.) be able to appreciate the Gregorian Chant.

Laptop “Carol of the Bells”
Projector “Sanctus”
Speaker “Agnus Dei”

4. Values Integration:
A.) Listening to the song “Carol of the Bells” and singing the songs
“Sanctus” and “Agnus Dei” liveley
B.) Participating in the class with full alertness.

Step by step
 The teacher starts the lesson by using a Motivation
Motivation
 The teacher will play two different songs; Carol of the Bells and
Sanctus
 The teacher will ask to observe the texture, meter, and how many
voices or instruments do they hear, and what are those, in each song.
 The teacher will divide the board into two parts and, by the raise of
students’ hands; the teacher will ask them to write the answers on the
board.
Introduction
 The Formal introduction of “Gregorian Chant”
Exercise/s
 The teacher will teach the chant “Agnus Dei” as another example of
Gregorian chant.

6. Synthesis
 Gregorian chant is liturgical, latin, freemeter, monophonic,
unaccompanied, plaintchant used by Roman Catholic Church during
the 8 C.E. .

7. Evaluation
 The teacher will give a 3 item test in an Aural form
