For individual consumer premises such as villas, sheds otc. wator meters shall be installed on the outside compound wall ofthe premises where regular access are permitod. 2. Water meter should not be installed inthe basement of bulking, pump room oF in underground meter chambers. 8. No cabinet or protection cover of any type shal be installed that may obstruct communication signals frm motor (Refer meter instalation drawing PEW-STD-AMM-001). 4. Supply line, 82mm dia. LOPE pipe shal be routed through a 75mm cia. protecton tube from ‘round level tothe bottom of the Water meter installed onthe periphery ofthe wall 5, The meter shal be fixed ata standard height of 120mm for easy reading and maintenance of the meter and fitings. 6. Pipes, valves and all other itings used forthe meter connection shal be high quality, heavy duly, non-toxic and non-cortosive material e 7. Pipe size for meter installation shal be 4" to 1" maximum and for 1" meter instalation shall be 1" 102° maximum, 8, % meter can delver up to 10,000 gallons water in 24 hours and 1" meter can deliver up to 20,000 gallons in 24 ours, approximately. 9. Consumer must have water storage tank equivalent to 24 hours’ consumption for residential premises and storage equivalent to 48 hours’ consumption for labour accommodation and ‘other high consumption premises. 10.The consumer pipe towards tho storage tank shall be routed on other side of the wall and Connectad othe moter through the wall as shown in the drawing 11.\soltion valves shall be insted upstam and downstream the meter to stop water flow from both directions and a stopcock shall be installed prior tothe meter for locking! eisconnecton of supply tothe mete. 12.Bath valves shal be fully open wile the moter is in service and no contol of flow shall be ‘made by regulating the inlet and outet valve. 13.The pipework at the meter position should be securely fixed to suppert the weight ofthe water ‘meter and to resis any torsion during the instalation and removal ofthe water mater. 14.Meter shall be protected from the risk of damage by shock or vibration induced by the surroundings. 15.Water meter and is associate fitings/pipes shall not be pat of electrical earthing 16.Detalled shop drawing shal be submitad for DEWA approval Before commencement of work, Page: tof
