[01] Regardless of size, design or purpose, everyday operations are the

Excellence in lifeblood of the data center and the key to the delivery of business
Data Center objectives. The standard of data center operations is the difference
Operations between a facility that is the core of a data-driven business and one
that leaks money and opportunity.

This Award seeks to recognise excellence in everyday operations

based on everything that happens inside the data center – its
management, people, systems, CQI and maintenance of standards,
the use of automation, the attention paid to developing a ‘Smart’
datacenter. All of these efforts and more help ensure that
operations fulfil the reasons the data center is there.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Datacenter must be located in Asia Pacific region (see defined area under Rules of
Entry).

2. Datacenter must have a total facility power requirement of at least 50 KW (to IT

load).

3. Must have been in operation since before March 31 2016.

4. The datacenter may be a purpose -built data center or located within the
company’s own premises but it must be managed wholly or partly by full-time
employees of the company.

5. This Award is open to any data center (enterprise, Government, colocation, cloud
and other IT service provider).
