Reflection Paper
Do something today that your future self will thank you for. This is what I learned on the
activity that we did last Friday, January 11, 2019 at CAM Auditorium. I can say that the activity,
conducted by the faculty of College of Allied Medicine gave our batch an opportunity to
contemplate to always do the right thing for our own education for us to achieve our dreams of
becoming a registered nurse in the future. Moreover, this activity gave me an inspiration to do
better and perform well academically.
The activity that we did last Friday was worth it, because I enjoyed listening from the
inspirational talk of our speakers about their life of becoming a registered nurse and successful
individual. Personally, I was moved from their story because I’m not aware about that and from
that I realized that there is no really an easy way in achieving our dreams. Challenges and
hindrances are constant, but it is up to us on how our we going to handle and overcome it. And
I’m glad that I belong to the College of Allied Medicine, because in here I felt that the faculty is
always there to help their students in overcoming these things and always offered us a helping
hand just like a family.
With regards to our speaker last Friday, Mr. Marvin Verano, I learned that as students we
should never forget to put God as the center of our life. Because through him all things will be
possible. I appreciate all the things that Mr. Verano have shared to us, especially his stories with
full of learning in life. In the last part of his talk, he offered us a prayer and I felt from there that
we’re really blessed.
In the afternoon, Dean Mecija had talk us and determined our insights about our motivation
in fulfilling of our dreams. I appreciate how Dean Mecija listens and shows sympathy to every one
of us. I’m much thankful that I belong to this College because they treat us not only their students,
but also as their children. I appreciate how they’re helping us in achieving our dreams of becoming
a registered nurse.
Furthermore, I can say that there wasn’t a dull moment in our whole day activity but only
learnings and inspiration. This activity pushes me to become a better student and study harder to
achieve my dreams and bring glory to the College of Allied Medicine.
