Best practice

An example of the decks in the XXX-CNS-30-assy looks as follows:

This assembly contains a part for each section.

XXX-CNS-30-02-TT-LD-31
This part contains:

 Linked body (1)


 Sketch for deck height (2)
 Extrude (3)
 Intersect (4)
 Sketches per type of stiffener (5)
 Sketch for HIPs (5)

It is important to make separate sketches for each section, so that the sketches can be linked
separately.

This part contains:

 Linked body (1)


 Feature group for each type of stiffener, containing:
o Extracted body (1)
o Sheet at stiffener dimension (2)
o Trim body (3)
 Feature group for HIPs, containing:
o Linked sketch (4)
o Extrude (5)
o Subtract bodies (6)

For tank top and lower deck the sheet (2) can be created by using an offset face. For the main deck it
is depending on the deck chamber what is the best method the create this sheet (2).

This assembly contains separate parts for plating, primary stiffeners and secondary stiffeners.

PRIMSTIFF / SECSTIFF
These parts contain each:

 Extrude (3)
 Trim body (4)
 Extrude (5) for the flanges

Please wait as long as possible with modeling the flanges, because they often disappear while
updating the model.
