ABSTRACT
An ideal truss is a structure that is composed of axial members which joined together at their

end points. In this project, we are required to design a truss that is capable to support a pin and

a roller which support the loads given as in the question. The behaviour of complex truss beam

is identified by analysing the result of both experimental and numerical methods. Besides that,

the design of the truss must fulfil the specification given such as the magnitude and location of

the loads applied and as well as the type of supports with the dimensions given. Moreover, we

need to determine the axial forces in the members of the truss whether it is tensile or

compressive force. The material that are used to design the truss is also taken into account

because it is crucial to ensure its durability and safe to be used. The method that is used in this

project is …..
OBJECTIVES
1. The main objective of this project is to enhance the understanding and concept of

structural analysis.

2. It is also could provide learning process in designing the truss.

3. Students are able to apply trigonometry, physics and statics practically.

4. Improve learning skills and communication skills for engineers by completing memos,

report and also drawings.

5. Able to collect data and information as well as come up with good conclusion.
