Artist in Residency at Tsinghua University Academy of Arts and Design, sponsored by
Mexican funds for the Arts: FONCA, in Beijing China, 2014. Granted with 5,000 USD
price, production, flight and accommodation and a big great studio provided in the
university campus.
During this time I produced the series Too Bright To Look Closer exhibited in the solo Show
Preview of my artwork in Arcaute Gallery; and in the collective show Viva Mexico in the
Showroom from Nikolaus Eldrot in Caochangdi.

Together with my performance partner, Sergio Solís, we went to Japan to take an


intensive Butoh Dance Workshop with one recognized Japanese Butoh Dancer from
the third original generation: Itto Morita, from the dance company: Goo Say Ten.

Invited by the Cultural Institute of the Mexican Embassy in Vienna, we gave a Performance
workshop about Public Space Occupation, Making interventions in the city like the subway
station at Praterstr. Ubahn and Urban Loritz Platz with architect Doris Klein me, and Sergio
Solís, Vienna, Austria, 2011. We presented I’m not Tracey Emin by occupying the center of
Urban Loritz Platz with a camping tent pretending to live there for a day and ordering a
pizza to this public location, activating the space as a useful area.

Here we were invited to work with the Pangcah tribe, formed by Taiwanese aborigines
Artists. DaDaDa exhibition in Artobia Gallery.

Place for staying was granted while we prepared the Performance Jackie & Jacko for the
Fringe festival in Taipei, presented in Wolong 29 cultural center, Taipei, Taiwan.

Artist in Residency with the Wurm class, for the project: “City Rules” in the Studios
Lichtenberg in Berlin, Germany, 2011. Supported by the Angewandte Kunst: University of
Applied Arts of Vienna. Accommodation and Production was granted. During this time I
made several Performances public interventions around the Lichtenberg district.

Artist in Residency during the Photomeetings X Festival hosted by the University of


Luxembourg, Workshop granted, with Marie Taillefer: Fashion Animation Movie. Stay and
production granted by The Angewandte Kunst: University of Applied Arts from Vienna.
During this time we exhibit in the Musée d’Histoire de la Ville de Luxembourg and Engel
Gallery, Luxemburg, 2010.
Bruegel was a Performance Intervention over Mariahilferstrasse with British artist Lindsay
Seers, visiting the Kunsthistorisches Museum we spent half an hour each of us memorizing
Bruegel’s painting Children's Games in order to reinterpret the middle character who has a
long stick and a hat over the face blocking his view, walking through the careless crowd of

These two performances were realized during the Elfie Semotan and Erwin Wurm lecture
and worshop: Runways held in the Angewandte Kunst in December 2010.

Artist in Residency and workshop granted by the Angewandte Kunst: University of Applied
Arts Vienna, for the Photography Expanded Now! Project by curator Amer Abbas, hosting
CIC Contemporary Image Center. Cairo Egypt, 2009. During this residency I made several
Performances and Public Interventions. And later the results were shown in Vienna at the
exhibition: Expanded Egypted, Praterstr. 15 kunstraum.
Grant for money budget to realize the curatorial project: T-shArt fashion show, hosted by
the Art Foundation: FundaciónBilbao Arte. All travel expenses, accommodation, production,
and event was given. During this time we exhibited Tshirts made by designers and artists
from Austria, Mexico and Spain in a performative runaway event. Bilbao Spain. 2008

National Institute for The Arts of Mexico: INBA, National Institute for Culture and Arts:
CONACULTA, and External Relations: SRE, supported us with a grant for international
transportation and production to realize the Multicultural and multidisciplinary project: The
Crave Project: No Performance Needed for the Schmiede07:We are Art Festival in Hallein.
