IN BATU CITY, INDONESIA DIVORCED?

Abstract

At present, the level of divorce in Indonesia is very alarming. A newspaper


bravely makes the theme "Divorce in Indonesia in an Emergency!" The National
Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), or more clearly, warns that
divorce rates in Indonesia are the highest in Asia Pacific. Although in 2015 it
decreased to 87,241, but in September 2016, the divorce rate in East Java
reached 51,000 cases. Until August 2016, even the level of talent in Malang,
East Java reached 6,175. From January to May 2016, 3,063 divorce cases were
submitted. There are 19 new widows in Malang Regency. There are total of
2,032 wives demanding their husband's divorce. Wrap the question: do
Christians in Batu, East Java also contribute to increasing divorce rates in
Indonesia? What is the response of Jesus Christ according to the Gospel of Mark
10: 1-12? The results of the analysis of Christian literature conclude that Jesus
Christ never allowed divorce of Christian couples for any reason. The results of
the field survey indicate that was only one case of divorce in a Christian couple,
but were not registered with the Government Office. Although there is only one
divorce case in Batu city, it is open for further investigation
