Designing with Advanced Materials Date:23/01/2019

A filament-wound closed cylindrical pressure vessel of mean diameter d = 1 m and length l = 5 m is subjected
to an internal pressure 5 MPa. Design a minimum weight vessel by choosing appropriate material, vessel
thickness, and orientation. Use the Hoffman failure criteria.
