 Simple design
 Less space for manufacturing
 Less manpower required
 Less components required
 Chotukool uses an electro thermal chip, which 40mmx40mm in size (Low weight)
 It consumes less power due to electro thermal chip
 It can run for up to 1 day without electricity(on battery)
 Tie up with Indian Post to use their developed infrastructure Opportunity

Weakness
 Low awareness, communication has’nt been strong
 It takes too much time to cool
 Strong association with Corporate brands may lead to unacceptability by customers
 Doesn’t have service center everywhere

Opportunities
 Huge scope in urban areas
 Many remote villages are still untouched by electricity and hence have no idea of
refrigeration
 Association with government, to get subsidies and sell at lower price point to the rural
areas
 Tap into urban market as there is growing trend of nuclear family
 Growing disposable income

Threats
 Huge competition from South Korean and Japanese brands with their frequent
advancements and wider product range with extensive communication
 More foreign players entering Indian market realizing the growth potential
 Technology duplication is very easy
 Can’t be used where NO electricity or where power cuts are for over 1-2 days
