potencijal za razvoj turizma
Orjen is the highest seaside limestone built mountain, with 49 mountain
peaks hihgher than 1500 metars, with the highest peak Zubacki kabao
(1859m). The mountain has god position for both geography and traphic,
considered Dubrovnik in Croatia on one side and the Bay of Boka Kotorska
on the other. Orjen is great for mountine climbers, it has a lot of beautifull
viewpoints, suitable for professional mountaineers and regular hikers. Orjen
mountain provides a lot of speleological sites and numerous Austro
Hungarian fortresses that can be further touristicly developed.
Lovćen Mountain is placed immediately behind the Bay of Boka Kotorska
and Budva seaside. It had two peaks: Stirovnik (1749m) and Lake peak
(1675m), that clacified Lovćen as middle size mountain. Vegetation is full of
bushy growth with great number of aromatic plants covered in Pine forests.
Northeast side of the mountains keeps rare kind of pine- Munika. Diversity
of cultural heritage and natural beauties made Lovćen one of the 5 National
Parks of Montenegro.
In one of the valleys next to Mountain lays a village Njeguši, a birthplace of
Petar II Petrović Njegoš, with his birth house open for visitors. Njeguši
village, with resort Ivanova Korita and Njegoš Mauzoleum are attracting a
great number of tourists from all over the world.
Rumija Montain has characteristic viewpoint of two directions: towards
Skadar Lake and seaside of Bar. Rumija is mountain massif that together
with it’s parts Sozina, Sutorman and Lisnija creates the most diverse
mountain area. It’s suitable for hikers, hunters, traffic and weekend tourism.
Long time ago, Rumija was covered with deep forests, now is home for Pine
and deciduous forests with a number of smaller villages and settlements.
