SUBJECT : CLARIFICATION ON D.C. NO. 003, s. 2017

Notwithstanding the provisions of D.C. No. 003, s. 2017, D.C. No. 70-A, s.
2000 on the Delegation of Authority to Regional State Prosecutors to Resolve
Appeals in Certain Cases is hereby reaffirmed.

Accordingly, Regional Prosecutors remain authorized to resolve all petitions

for review of resolutions of Provincial/City Prosecutors in cases cognizable by the
Metropolitan Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts in Cities, Municipal Trial Courts and
Municipal Circuit Trial Courts, except in the National Capital Region, in
accordance with the aforementioned Circular.

Please be guided accordingly.
