a new way to see kulture.

I
am a single high school student, who has been engulfed in the whole rap culture,
ever since my sophmore year. I am currently now finishing my last year of high-
school and moving on to college. I am hoping that with movin onto collegeI will
more time to work on stuff I want to work on. I have always wanted to be involved in
the music scence ever since I was kid. I remember when I was kid, my cousins and I
would have these competions of who could do the better lip sinc. We make all the par-
ents gather around and go turn by turn trying to see who was the best. After we’d have
our parents judge and seee who won.
Some of my work.

G
rowing up, I had alwasy been influ-
enced into some kinf of Hip-hop/R&B
culture. My mother’s nieces had gone to
schools locl to our home, so they would always play
some old school clasics. It had never really phased
me though, through most of my middle school life.
Once I got into highschool I started hanging out with
some new friends. ANd they exposed me to new mu-
sic. My buddy Hernando had realy put me on Trippie
redd’s “Love Scars 2/Rack City” and after that I fell
in love with his sound. A couple months rolls by and
Trippie Redd had blown up. During a basketball game,
another one of my friends showed me “All Girls Are The
Same” by Juice WRLD...and it only had like 30 likes. We
thought we had discovered a hidden gem. We couldn’t
get enough of him, or his style of music. Later the fol-
loing year (this year) I had went to Africa for two
months, following the release of his most recent
solo album “Goodbye & Good Riddence”,
by the time I came back he
was one of the hottest
in the game. Now
in my senior
year, a lot of my
friends have
exposed me
to new music
coming from all
over the United
States.
