LHS CELEBRATES ARALING PANLIPUNAN MONTH

Llano High School’s Araling Panlipunan department successfully organized the annual
celebration of Araling Panlipunan Month last October, 2018.
The month was filled with spectacles as it highlights various activities like the Flag
making contest, United Nations Quizbee, and the highly anticipated “Mr. and Ms. United
Nations 2018”.
“Katulad ng mga previous AP month, bago kami kumilos ay nag-meeting muna kami ng
mga teachers sa AP kasama ang aming department head; pinagplanuhan namin ang mga
gagawin at pagkatapos ay application nalang.” Said AP teacher John Vincent Francisco in an
interview about the preparations that the AP department has undergone before the month of
October.
Mr. Francisco also recognizes the performance of Araling Panlipunan club officers saying
that their effort is an essential part of the successful implementation of the activities; however
he insisted that the club officers were somewhat a little bit too relaxed when it comes to their
practices but still, they are a big aid in executing the scheme of Araling Panlipunan department.
“Yung mga officer naman talaga ay malaking tulong sa lahat ng mga ginagawa ng mga
guro, yun nga lang ang Araling Panlipunan club ay medyo may pagka petiks pagdating sa mga
practice pero marami paring naitulong at nagpapasalamat parin kami sa kanila dahil di namin
ito magagawa kung wala sila”.
Furthermore, when asked about the overall outcome of the events, Mr. Francisco
explained that the execution of the month’s activities were great especially because of the
participation of students, he even highlighted Mr. and Ms. United Nations 2018 as the main
feature of their activities during the month.
“Sa lahat naman ay maganda ang kinalabasan ng mga programs, pinaka paborito talaga
namin ay yung pageant ng Mr. and Ms. UN kasi alam naman natin na ito ang isa sa mga pinaka-
aabangang pageant ng Llano High School; Pagdating naman sa outcome ng AP month ay
talagang maganda dahil lahat nagparticipate at lahat ay deserving manalo pero syempre sa huli
ay isa lang talaga ang dapat tanghalin na Mr. and Ms. United Nations 2018; nakakalungkot lang
kasi nawala na yung aming club adviser na si Sir Sid Esparas, ito na yung huling taon sa
pagtulong nya sa Araling Panlipunan department”.
“All in all, the Araling Panlipunan teachers were very happy with the outcome of this
year’s celebration of AP month.” Mr. Francisco added.
