Anub'arak

Anub'arak was formerly the king of the Nerubians, but was transformed into a
mighty Crypt Lord by the Lich King after the Scourge destroyed Azjol-Nerub, and
now serves the Lich King absolutely. Anub'arak was introduced in Warcraft III:
The Frozen Throne as a secondary hero character. Unfortunately, he does not
receive very much story line attention in Wrath of the Lich King.
His character, as portrayed in The Frozen Throne, seems to be strong-willed, cold,
calculating, intelligent, a little twisted and devoted to the Lich King's cause. He,
as with the Nerubians in general, has a distinctly mysterious aura about himself.
 Elder Nadox - An undead nerubian vizier serving the Lich King.
 Prince Taldaram - A darkfallen prince.
 Jedoga Shadowseeker - A twilight's hammer cultist.
 Amanitar (heroic mode only)
 Herald Volazj - Faceless One

“Forward, valiant Steed!” The small, gnomish voice echoed throughout the chamber.
The Nerubian obediently went forward, seemingly unconcerned at the Gnome standing
on his head, pointing ahead.

“Woah boy, Woah.” The Nerubian was growing tired of this treatment but he had
no choice but to obey. The Gnome was a Death Knight, one of the Lich King’s chosen
few. To disobey his command, no matter how demeaning.

They marched through the ancient tunnels under Northrend. Tilby eventually had
to sit down just so he could fit between the massive creature and the only slightly more
massive tunnel that contained them.

He had to snicker to himself. The creature he’d chosen as his mount was none
other then Anub’arak, once the king of Azol-Nerub and now reduced to this. Tilby
mused, one of the many interesting facts of being part of the Scourge. Kings could be
reduced to peons and the lowliest peon could be turned into a General of the largest army
in the world.

Tilby had been one of those peons. Now he was a Death Knight, an extension of
the Lich King’s will. Funny how things work out, isn’t it? He had the feeling ol’
Anub’arak wouldn’t think it was nearly as funny as he did.

“The hidden tunnel should be ‘round here somewhere. Let’s see… If I were a
rebel bug, where would I hide my ancillary encroachment tunnel.” Tilby mused,
scratching his beard.
