Fecha de entrega: 21 de Noviembre del 2018

Note: Remember that the results must to be dedutec whit base to the first thermodynamic's law, the mass's conservation
and the second thermodynamic’s law.

1. The combustion gases exiting the turbine is used to generate steam, through a recovery boiler,
as shown in FIG. The mass flow of gases is 10 kg / s. For the respective calculations, consider
the specific heats as a function of temperature and the properties of the combustion
gases as air as the ideal gas. Consider the temperature of the surroundings as 25 °C. The
pressure ratio in the gas turbine PA/PB is 5. The heat losses in the recovery boiler are 20% of
the energy transferred by the combustion gases in the heat exchanger 𝑄̇𝑃 . Calculate:

1.1 Power generated in the turbine 1 R/ 4296,32 KW

1.2 The entropy rate generated in turbine 1 R/ 1,633 KW/K
1.3 The exergy rate destroyed in the turbine 1 R/ 486,57 KW
1.4 The maximum reversible potency in the turbine 1 R/ 4782,89 KW
1.5 The second law efficiency of the turbine 1 R/ 89,8 %
1.6 Entropy rate generated in the recovery boiler R/ 9,294 KW/K
1.7 Rate of exergy destroyed in the recovery boiler R/ 2769,61 KW
1.8 Power generated in the turbine 2 R/ 1866,43 KW
1.9 The entropy rate generated in turbine 2 R/ 1,429 KW/K
1.10 The exergy rate destroyed in the turbine 2 R/ 425,842 KW
1.11 The maximum reversible potency in the turbine 2 R/ 2292,3 KW
1.12 The second law efficiency of the turbine 2 R/ 81,42 %
1.13 Entropy rate generated in the condenser R/ 1,48 KW/K
1.14 Rate of exergy destroyed in the condenser R/ 442,35 KW
