FAQs on full KYC for the digital meal card (Zeta)

Q1. Have we evaluated Amazon pay to replace Zeta meal card?

Yes. As confirmed by the Amazon Pay team, with its current capabilities Amazon pay is not ready to replace Zeta meal
card. As of now there is no definite timeline, however once Amazon Pay is ready, we will explore transitioning to that
platform.

Q2. What is the security of data shared by employees for the full KYC?

Zeta has completed Amazon Infosec team’s assessment based on which the minimum KYC updates are already being
done by Zeta for all Amazon employees. We have had discussions with our Legal, Infosec teams for the full KYC
requirement along with Zeta and they have no objections to the following of the KYC process. Zeta has provided them
with the required clarifications and Infosec has approved the same in Aug 2018.

Zeta systems and processes are audited and certified to be in compliance with PCI DSS v3.2, ISO 27001 and SSAE SOC2.
Aadhaar KYC process is audited by CERT empaneled auditors. Furthermore, ZETA does not store or process users’
biometric information. Amazon Infosec has cleared the security protocols for both the minimum and full KYC.

Q3. Will my Aadhaar number be stored / saved anywhere during the process of KYC update process?

As the issuer of prepaid instrument, RBL Bank is required to store the Aadhaar number in a secure Aadhaar Vault. Zeta
provides the required Aadhaar vault service to the bank. Zeta itself doesn’t have access to Aadhaar number. Zeta will
not access the KYC details of user. They will be obtained and retained by the bank only, for RBI audit and related
regulatory purposes. Zeta will not access, store or process user biometric data.

Q4. Is Aadhaar biometric the only option for full KYC update if I am eligible to get an Aadhaar?

Yes and is applicable for all those eligible for Aadhaar and is the only option. There is a Paper based KYC flow as well
but applicable only for users not eligible for Aadhaar or are yet to receive their card as per RBI guidelines. For all
Aadhaar eligible users, no paper or other officially valid documents (OVD) based KYC is supported. RBI regulation:

Q5. Why is OTP based Aadhaar authentication not admissible for employees using Zeta as one of the means of
updating full KYC ?

OTP based KYC of the employee on their own is deemed as a non-face-to-face authentication. Non-face-to-face
authentication can only be used during account opening and Amazon users already have an account with Zeta.

Please find further clarifications, along with extracts from the most recent RBI Master Direction. OTP authentication
may be used only during establishment of an account (Amazon users already have an account).

o Ref 15(d)(iv): Where OTP based authentication is performed in ‘non-face to face’ mode for opening
new accounts, the limitations as specified in Section 17 shall be applied.
