STOCK SOLUTIONS

2M Tris HCl pH 7.5 121.1g Tris base, dissolve and 

pH 8 adjust pH.  Make up to 500ml 

pH 9.5 and autoclave.

5M NaCl 292.2g NaCl, dissolve and make up to 1 litre, autoclave.

6M NaCl 350.64g NaCl, dissolve and make up to 1 litre, autoclave

It is a saturated solution.

1M MgCl2 101.7g   MgCl2,   dissolve   and   make   up   to   500ml,

autoclave.

0.5M EDTA pH 8.0 93.1g EDTA, add water and adjust pH to 8.0 (doesn't 

dissolve until the pH is correct).  Make up to 500ml,and 

autoclave.

3M NaAc pH 5.2 204.12   g   of   NaAc.3H20,   dissolve   and   adjust   pH   with

glacial acetic 

acid.  Make up to 500ml, autoclave.

10% SDS 100g SDS, dissolve in sterile water, make up to 1 litre.

10N NaOH Dissolve 200g NaOH pellets in 500ml autoclaved water 

on ice (heats up a lot!)
