Arkan Building Materials Co. P.J.S.C. is a public joint stock company specializing in the manufacturing of building
construction products in the UAE. Established in 2005, Arkan is 51 percent owned by General Holding
Corporation (SENAAT), an entity wholly owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi to promote sustainable industrial
activity in Abu Dhabi. Remaining 49 percent of shares are listed with Abu Dhabi Securities Market (ADX), in order
to allow the local shareholders to participate in the company’s business. In addition to this Arkan actively partakes
in building materials investments across the UAE, with a focus on the creation of growth opportunities in Abu
Dhabi.
Arkan’s vision is to set up a large integrated construction products business that serves the local and regional
construction industries. Arkan’s portfolio companies include Emirates Cement Factory - one of the UAE’s oldest
and reputed cement manufacturing company and Al Ain Cement Factory, which is the latest and one of the biggest
cement manufacturing company in the UAE, with the production capacity of 3.1 M tons of clinker and 4.5 M tons
of cement per annum from a single large kiln. Both the cement plants are located in Al Ain. Other companies of
the Arkan portfolio are Emirates Blocks Factories, producer of high quality concrete blocks, pavers and
kerbstones with locations in Al Mafraq and Al Ain, ANABEEB a leading manufacturer of plastic pipes (GRP & PVC)
and paper bags manufacturing company located in Abu Dhabi.
The latest venture of the company is Arkan Dry Mortar which has the capacity to produce wide range of dry mix
products for the construction industry. The company is coming with silo transport system of plasters and other
mortars wherein the dry mix plasters will be transported to the construction site in special silos. The Dry mix
plasters will be conveyed pneumatically to the plastering machines for mixing and spraying directly on walls.
Arkan actively partakes in building materials investments across the UAE, with a focus on growth opportunities
in Abu Dhabi.

Emirates Block Factory was established by General Holding Corporation (GHC), currently known as SENAAT, a
subsidiary of the Government of Abu Dhabi in 1979 in Al Wathba and Al Ain. GHC established M/S Arkan Building
Materials Co, “ARKAN” to establish factories to manufacture different kinds of building materials across Abu Dhabi &
Al Ain, and took over the Emirates Blocks Factories in both Mafraq and Al Ain in the year 2007.The factory was
previously known as Al Wathba Al Ain Blocks Factory and at the time of inception had installed the latest automatic
machinery available to produce concrete blocks required to support the construction industry of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

In 1979, the factory implemented the Quality Management System based on ISO 9000 standards, accredited by BM
TRADA quality certification body. This accreditation was subsequently upgraded to ISO 2008 :9001. Emirates Blocks
Factory is also accredited for the Environmental Quality System ISO: 14001 and Safety Quality System OHSAS: 18001.

Emirates Blocks Factory has a well-established laboratory with R & D facility to ensure the quality of the products and
meet the demands for new products.

The products from all our four manufacturing units meet the specifications set out by all the relevant International
standards for Masonry blocks, Interlock paving tiles, Kerbstones and decorative pavers.

The customers of our products include Federal organisations, Municipalities involved in public works and also large,
medium and small construction companies involved in private works. Emirates Blocks Factory is approved by entities
such as ADWEA, Department of Transport, Musanada, ADNOC, ADCE, Al Dar etc.

Emirates Blocks Factory has a huge transportation fleet to ensure the timely delivery of goods to site.

manufactured using state of art hydraulic press process pioneered and perfected in
United Kingdom, with a range of monitoring checks to maintain highest quality products.

applicators. It has the state-of-the-art equipment for the testing activities.

Emirates Blocks - a group company of ARKAN PJSC, has its proud legacy
established by SENAAT, one of UAE’s largest industrial investment holding
company which is a key contributor to Abu Dhabi’s Economic vision 2030.
Emirates Blocks Factory production capabilities are in the range of 5 to 6 Million
blocks per month. Our manufacturing facilities include 7 production units, with
3 units dedicated for Masonry Blocks, 2 units for Interlocking Pavers, 2 units for
Concrete Pavers and Kerbstones and 1 unit for Dry Mortar products. These
production units are at par with world class standards, with state of the art fully
automated manufacturing plants from HESS, MASA, ZENITH - Germany,
FOREST PRESS Hydraulics – UK and EIRICH – Germany. The facilities are
managed and operated by professionals and experts in the field of concrete
industry.

Emirates Blocks has the capability to produce wide range of concrete products
and can cater to the project customized requirements like light weight blocks,
miscellaneous blocks, and high quality pavers.

The production unit dedicated for the Concrete pavers has in its production line,
- Abu Dhabi state-of-the-art Cutting Machine, Polishing Machine, Sand / Shot Blasting
Machine etc to produce different sizes and finishes as per the customer
requirements.

Our development process is widely recognized and has met the strict
requirements of international certification authorities like ISO ,9001:2015
2015-14000 & OSHA 180001.

Our concrete products are produced with quality raw materials from local UAE
crushers to meet the industry standards; we are a sustainable and
environmental responsible concrete product manufacturer where we deploy
recycling concepts of aggregate into our process. We constantly endeavor
periodic monitoring of raw materials, strict quality control procedures during
production process, and provide quality assurance on the finished product.

Emirates Blocks have an extensive stock yard to accommodate the entire range
of products and we demonstrate our commitment towards timely delivery with
our inventory complemented with world class fleet of trucks and trailers
supported by a dedicated dispatch department having experienced
professionals. The most stringent delivery schedules can be met with ease, as
we are equipped with a huge fleet base of modern delivery trucks and crane
mounted trailers.
