How to Wash your Dog

What you will need (materials)

- A large tub
- Dog shampoo
- A small bucket
- A large towel
- A dog brush
- A dog treat

What to do:
To start with, take off your dog’s collar and place it somewhere safe.

Next, fill up a large tub with warm water.

Then, carefully place your dog into the water.

After that, scoop some water into the small bucket and pour it over your dog.

Next, squeeze some dog shampoo into the palm of your hand. Gently massage
the shampoo all over your dog. Do not put any in your dog’s eyes.

Then, use the small bucket again to rinse all of the shampoo off your dog.

Then, slowly pick up your dog and wrap it in a large dog towel. Dry your dog.

Next, when your dog is dry, carefully brush your dog’s hair until it feels soft.

In the end, give your dog a dog treat as a reward for having a bath.
Note: this is an overhead activity. Together as a class, we will read the
procedure, then identify the transition words and verbs in the imperative
tense. We will also look at the elements that make up a procedural text: a title,
list of materials, and steps.
