My Personal Profile
My name is Esther Rivas. My maiden name, Esther derives from Hadassah its Hebrews,
American and Persian meaning a star which refers to the planet Venus. The Babylon goddess of
love is also a sturdy meaning. A famous bearer is the spirited Esther of the Old Testament who
became the fifty century queen of Persia. The chastity and innocence of my name in
collaboration with my parent’s teaching, leads up to my personality being God fearing
respectable, honest and trustworthy. I also process strong moral values. I am a part time student
who is presently pursuing the Bachelor of education Degree at University of New Brunswick /
ROYTEC partnership program on the ROYTEC campus in Trinidad and Tobago. I am very fond
of reading, writing, socializing, art and craft, travelling, and sewing. I also enjoy the presence of
children, and spending time with friends and family. I will describe myself as a very self-aware,
optimistic, outgoing, and nature loving exceedingly thankful person. I have a very close
relationship with my creator and I am very contented and grateful for the blessings God has
bestowed on me at this stage in my life.

I have always love teaching and I strongly believe that teachers are the molders of the future
and need to be inspirational and motivational to help students realize their full potential and help
them create the best possible future for themselves. To achieve this I will need to be a role model
that consistently demonstrates respect to others a sense of personal integrity, a caring
relationship, and a thirst for knowledge. Additionally, teachers who are exceedingly passionate
about their job, portrays a more positive attitude toward this exceptional profession. As a result,
they become inspirational mentors for students and consequently student become motivated to
become a positive functioning adult in society. Teaching has endless rewards but to me the
ultimate reward would be making a positive impact in the lives of my students by providing them
the tools they need to become holistically equipped for a lifetime and competent members of
competent of society.
