Dear Ms. Roselyn Begay,

My name is Athena Hollingsworth and I am writing in regards to the preschool teacher

position that is currently available at your school. I have recently graduated from Arizona State
University with a bachelors degree in Educational Studies and have recently completed all of
my teaching certifications. I am seeking a position educating preschool aged children as I find
this age group to be very energetic and creative and I look forward to guiding them on their
initial first steps of a hopefully enjoyable educational path.

I believe that I would make a great addition to the Sanders Unified School District Team
as I work very well with young children and adults alike and truly understand the value of a good
education. I also understand that a holistic childhood education is more than learning numbers
and the alphabet. It is important to be teaching this age group about how to understand their
emotions, how to play well with others, how to tap into their imagination, and many other things.
As a preschool teacher it is extremely important to have patience with and understanding of the
child as a whole and I believe that my experience as a teachers aid have prepared me well to take
on this next step.

My education and work experience have prepared well for this position. I believe
strongly in a quality education and will take the necessary steps to ensure each of my students
receives the best education that myself, and the school, are able to provide. I would enjoy
speaking to you further about the position and how I would be then perfect fit.
