Plan version:

IMG → Personnel Management → Global Settings → Plan Version Maintenance

→ Maintain Plan Versions.

The current plan version should be "01", as set in PLOGI PLOGI. This plan is what is updated
whenever personnel changes are made in the system and represents your current organization

-in case two plan versions, PPOME will probably default to the current plan version, so you will have
to go to Settings --> Alternative each time to reset to the "What if" version.
If you are in individual infotype maintenance in PO10 or PO03 you must set the plan version you
want at the top of the entry screen. And again, the Active version will default and you must reset to
the "What if" version.
if you ever plan to integrate a "What if" version into the current version, you should set NUMGR
COMP in table T77S0 to "X". This will separately set up the numbering of the org units and positions
in each version so that objects will not be overwritten if the versions are merged. You may also find
reports RHCOPL00-Copy Plan Version and RHCOPLPT-Compare Plan Version helpful.

Defaulting values for infortype: feature :INFTY

DFINF:

The default values set in the customizing system are used when you create records.
When you copy records, the system uses the values from the previous record.

However, this system procedure may not always be desirable.

The new feature DFINF allows you to define how default values are handled in the
following infotypes: Organizational Assignment (0001), Planned Working Time
(0007), Basic Pay (0008) and DUEVO (0020).
In the feature DFINF, you can define for each infotype whether or not the default
values should be used when records are copied.

Grouping of relevant infotypes under a single tab in the master data screen is called as an infotype menu.

In transaction code PA30 (Maintain HR Master Data), different infotypes are maintained under each tab. You

can maintain maximum 10 infotype menus in the master data for a specific user group.
