PREFACE

E-commerce is anything that involves an online transaction. E-commerce provides

multiple benefits to the consumers in form of availability of goods at lower cost,

wider choice and saves time.

It has an impact over the economy of many countries among which Pakistan is

included in that list. It has named as Rapid Movers in e-commerce. E-commerce has

many reasons that why it is very crucial in developing the country. For the study we

have taken several parts of the world such as North America, Latin America, Europe,

Middle-East, Africa and South Asia and Australia. E-commerce has intent to bring

some transformation in the society and that is the reason it is essential for the B2B

and B2C commerce.

Abstract

E-commerce is still evolving and shaping into new phase in which continuous

struggle is required to compete. We analyse several patterns of e-commerce and its

dynamics which helps us to create our own ecommerce site taking into account all

related factors. Our report covers a broad range of factors which enables us to

strategically initiate and sustain our e-commerce business with innovative idea. From

planning till implementing we incorporated every aspect which is essential to make e-

commerce business viable. We evaluate the economic feasibility in accordance with

competing environment and also outline the necessary functionalities required by the

site for creating customers perceived value, additionally elaborating the marketing

efforts needed to surge the awareness among prospective customers and finally

concluding with future suggestion and further room for enhancements.

1. Introduction

a. Existing Practice

In Pakistan offline transport system is widely used for transferring the goods from one

place to another to meet the customer requirement and give best customer service to

their clients. People calling for trucks or freight carriers so on and so forth. Transport

service home delivery at cost effective rates.

b. Drawbacks in existing system:

Unlike rapid movers the existing transportation services providers like Marshall

packers and movers, or Global executive movers, or New azad muslim good transport

company have the following drawbacks.

1. Least Awareness: since the existing systems are operating locally and have

very least to non-existent online presence therefore the information available

for those service providers is very less to the general public.


2. Area of operation: the area of operation of all the existent systems is either

limited or restrained to some parts of twin cities. i.e. the services being

provided in Islamabad may or may not be provided in Rawalpindi and vice

versa.
3. Online presence: as mentioned earlier the existing systems are mostly

operating locally therefore these systems have least to none existent online

presence.
4. Costly: the existing systems are more costly because they start charging for

the services at the time you make order.

c. Proposed Idea

We are more inclined towards the comfort of the customer. In order to achieve this

goal, we have to develop a platform which shall enable our clients to connect with

freight carrier trucks. We basically provide an intermediary website. i.e:

Rapidmovers.com which connects our clients with freight carrier trucks.

d. Benefits of Proposed System

Benefits of Proposed System tend to avoid all sort of hurdles which usually people

faces when goods are to be delivered from source to destination. Rapid movers for the

first time in Pakistan are trying to provide flat prices for transporting the belongings in

Rawalpindi/Islamabad with an aim to provide ease, convenience and better transport

facility in capital city in more save and timely manner. Stated below benefits are

coupled with the moving service we are providing.

This service enables the customer to easily reach us through just one call. It eliminates

all sorts of cost which customers have to face while hiring a transporter including

economical cost, energy and monetary cost.

particular region with the help of online presence

The targeted audience would be the users which are signed over the social media

websites and over the internet and local distributors, wholesalers, retailers and

individuals who are operating in the Rawalpindi/Islamabad region.

It’s a plan for successful operations of business, identifying the sources of revenue,

As we are intending to operate as an intermediary between prospective customers to

direct them towards available transporters by providing a platform, thus our applied

Business model will be transaction broker we will charged a certain pre-specified

percentage from both parties. As we are providing a rapid service to all customers we

can reach us through internet.

b. Business model elements with respect to the business


i. Value Propositions:

As the term indicates set of benefits a customer gain while using the product provided

by the firm. Here question arises why customer get attracted towards our service?

Rapid movers are providing new, and fastest and cost effective service that wasn’t

available before, Striving to give best qmatch for transporter that customers can easily

hire online for shifting goods to their destinations.

ii. Revenue Model:

As mentioned earlier we operate as a middleman so our proposed revenue model will

be transaction fee initially. We tend to generate profits by charging both parties and

the difference of that would be our profit. We charge 5% initially from customers

after confirming the order and approximately around that we’ll charge from

transporter after order fulfilment.

iii. Market opportunity:

Grasping or targeting the market space which has not tapped before, by taking first

mover advantage we are pioneer of this service in Pakistan. It seems to profitable due

its growing necessity as people are more inclined to online service specifically our

service tend to target the gap which haven’t been target primarily.

We are pioneers of this service so initially we are not have direct competitor but have

indirect competitors thus to some extent it eliminates the risk of lowering profit

margins, initially our we do not have to spend excessively on our marketing

campaigns.

v. Competitive Advantage:

Rapid movers do not have direct competitors but taking first –mover advantage can

help us to sustain our profit margin and our image among prospective customers for

relatively longer period of time. We can compete with new entrants on focusing lead

strategy by capturing more efficient potential customers and transporters through

building trust and long-term ties.

Our communication strategy primarily will be social media through creating

Facebook page and mob app to promote our service among online users. Usage of

right medium will effectively tend to escalate the degree of awareness among

potential customers additionally, electronic word of mouth speeds up this marketing

efforts.

3) Business Support
a. Product Source
In our Project, the business support services refer to those businesses who would

basically provide us truck and individuals who may register their own transport (as

per our requirement) to be a part of Rapid Movers!

We would basically contact Costa Logistics and Global Executive Movers and

Packers, Islamabad to provide their transportation on the basis of terms and

conditions agreed by both parties and individuals having specifically shehzore truck

to facilitate our clients.

Thus, effectively, these business service providers are essential for smooth

functioning of our business in the twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi and every

person who is engaged in business must be fully aware of the functioning and use of

our ecommerce website since our business would be wholly online based.

b. Product Delivery
When transporting by truck, the size of your consignment will determine whether you

need shehzore or truck.

Shehzore involves smaller orders, and makes up the majority of freight

shipments. However, LTL freight can range from 100 to 15,000 pounds. For this

purpose we would be providing customers with shehzore trucks.

Truck generally charge a ‘per mile’ rate, which can vary depending on

distance, items being transported, equipment, and service times. As per demand of our

clients, we would provide service of large trucks provided by Costa and Global

Executive Movers.

b. Exchange/Return Policy
Our exchange policy is If customer has ordered the service once, the charges would be

taken and they would be non refundable. Whether they use the service or not they

would have to pay the charges. On the contrary in return policy, if customer has

cancelled the service after ordering it once, they would have to pay 20% charges.

We would be providing three types of Payment Method to our clients

 PayPal
 MasterCard
 Visa Card.

The customers will be asked to make a 30% down payment via credit card online,

which will be an advance payment straight to the company. The remainder 60% will

be given by the customer in cash.

c. Customer Support
 Our webpage will also consist of a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section for

customer’s support. The customers can refer to that page for issues faced by them.

The company will provide multiple questions and answer related to the issues which

will be faced by customers. It will also provide an option to chat with the customer

service. The customers may send a message providing their email and they will be

contacted shortly after.


 If the customer faces any issue regarding payment on time, for example, if

internet isn’t working properly or system is down they can call us instantly and we

will let them know the fare by checking manually.


 Automatic email responses provide customers with instant information to their

inquiries and help create more sales by answering general queries more

quickly and comprehensively. Websites with interactive features, eg chat line,

bulletin board, email, e-forms.

d. Additional Facilities
 The website includes features such as a ‘Sitemap’ which includes the map of

twin cities and locate the vehicle available in their area.


 We offer speedy services; the client can have the transport at their doorstep

within 10 mints.

 We ensure safety of their goods to customers that client’s products would be

transported safely.
 We provide insurance that would cover all sorts of business risks; i.e. for

example if goods are damaged while transporting in any case.

As business is first mover in the Pakistan, but still there are some enhancements

which are not integrated in the current model and that would be consider in future for

enhancement to fill the gaps while accessing the environment and need.

In future will introduce fleet management systems based on automatic vehicle

location technologies, which can be used to improve services, to optimize routing and

scheduling, and to feed real-time information into various Consignments and

orders/booking information channels. This could be with help of mobile app and also

with website service. This subtheme also encompasses intelligent transportation and

priority schemes for mini trucks and big cargo trucks.

By implementing such measures, cargo system becomes more convenient,

comfortable, accessible and understandable for everyone. The number of customers

who want to online transport system would increase, ultimately that would lead the

organization to new horizon.

d) Conclusion
As people are moving toward globalization, that establish a need of this system in the

result of poor offline system of transportation. So, people can have benefited with a

platform which online presence and with help of that system they will enjoy the

services just in seconds.
