Background
● Carleton Comet is murdered at
7:35 pm at a picnic
● The only other injury is Nancy
Normal, who supposedly cut her
hand on a bit of broken glass
● The police determine there are
two types of blood on the knife,
one belonging to Carleton
● Other evidence was found such
as fingerprints and a deathnote
 Pedigree

Using the pedigrees, we are able to figure out that Carleton Comet, who is interconnected with every person at the
picnic in some way, is Thomas Sandstone, who had a part in each of their families
Who murdered Carleton Comet?
● We believe that Nancy Normal murdered Carleton Comet, there is sufficient
evidence and motive to prove it

Fingerprint Matched
● We dusted fingerprints found at the crime scene
● The fingerprint, when compared to the fingerprints of the suspects, was
concluded to be Nancy Normal’s
● Nancy was the only whorl fingerprint, all the other ones were either arches or
loops, meaning that it had to be her
 Ink Matched
● We used ink chromatography in
Pen #1 Pen #2 Pen #3 Crime
order to see the individual
TT/GG NN/SS FF Scene
pigments of the pen and match
the ink from the note
● The ink used to write the note
was written by a pen used by
Nancy Normal and Sam
Sophomore.
● This shows that Nancy is one of
the two people who could have
commited the crime.
Blood Type
● There were two types of blood that
were found at the scene, an A type
and an O type, one of them must be
Carleton
● Carleton Comet has type O blood
● The three people with blood type A is
Theresa Terra, Glen Glee, and Nancy
Normal
● Nancy is the only person who cut
herself on the scene. We believe that
she cut herself on the knife and used
the glass as an excuse
Chromosomal Disorder
● The two chromosome disorders of suspects found at the crime scene were XYY (Jacob’s
Syndrome) and XXX (Triple X Syndrome)
● Carleton Comet and Sam Sophomore have XYY, however, one of the suspects must be Carleton
Comet
● The only person with XXX disorder is Nancy Normal
DNA Fingerprinting
● DNA fingerprinting involves taking the DNA from the crime scene and from the suspects.
The DNA was placed in a gel under the process of gel electrophoresis, the parts of it were
separated, and we were able to see the individual colors that made up the DNA
● DNA fingerprinting concluded that the DNA on the knife belonged to Carleton Comet
and Nancy Normal

Motive ● Nancy is not mentally stable, her
aunt was institutionalized with
depression for life and her father
died in accident when she was
young. This left her with a lack of
support and a large amount of
emotional distress
● Nancy also wants revenge, she is
deeply in love with Fred Flimmer,
whose sister and aunt were
murdered by Thomas Sandstone
(Carlton Comet)
● Nancy has Triple X Syndrome, as
well as Huntington's, which makes
her more prone to violence as an
option
Charges
Nancy Normal should be arrested and charged with:

● First degree murder: Any intentional murder that is willful and premeditated
with malice in afterthought. Nancy knew beforehand who Carleton was and
that he was responsible for the horrifics done to Fred Flimmer. She also made a
note and left it specifically at the crime scene, showing that it was premeditated

● Although there is some evidence that Sam Sophomore was part of the crime by
using the pen and meeting up with Nancy, as well as motive, Sam’s fiancee was
killed by Carleton, there is not sufficient evidence to convict him, however,
there will be further investigation into his involvement
