Objective: Create a representation of the American Dream from your personal perspective.
Instructions: Determine what question you want to pursue about the American Dream. Each person should
approach the topic in a distinct way. Here are some things to consider- How has the American Dream changed
throughout U.S. history? Make comparisons about the American Dream- how is it different for different
groups? How has it changed over time? Is it equally available to everyone? Does it still exist? What does it
mean to you or your family? How has the meaning of the American Dream influenced our society? Economics?
Government? How do current events relate to the American Dream? What is your hope for the future of the
American Dream?
Whatever your topic is, it should be supported by historical evidence from the text or other credible sources of
information.
