3. Provide a qualitative analysis of the performance growth of the child between the pre- and post-
test (explain the data and graph in words and in detail – each skill category should show some
insight!).
Looking at the graphs makes it very easy to show that Asher either improved or stayed
the same on every skill except for one. The one skill that he did worse on during the post
test was running. I don’t think Asher actually got worse at running I think it had more to
do with that was the first skill we tested and he might have been tired and not used to us
recording him. Besides from that he showed great improvement and performed very well
on the post test. His two greatest improvements were dribbling and hopping improving
from a zero to a three in dribbling and a four in hopping.
4. From your experiences, provide three activities / pieces of advice to give to the teacher/parent/PE
teacher that could help the child improve.
There are a couple of things I learned about Asher from my time working with him that
helps him perform better. The first thing is that he can be stubborn sometimes and likes
to push your buttons but if you show him that what he’s doing is not okay he will
cooperate. The second thing is that he has a very creative imagination and he likes it
when you play along with his stories/situations he comes up with in his head. One last
piece of advice for working with Asher is that activities that require him to sit for a while
to listen to the instructions aren’t always best for him because he will lose focus quickly if
he isn’t moving around or doing something.
5. What do you think you could have done different to help the child progress during the class?
I think this class really helped Asher grow and pushed him to perform at a higher level. I
believe if I was given the opportunity to work with him every class it would’ve made it a
lot easier to help him grow even more than he did. By only being with him a handful of
times throughout the semester made it very difficult for me to help him improve certain
skills that he could’ve worked on.
6. Create your parent letter highlighting your analysis.

7. Create a letter to the future teacher candidate of your preschooler. Explain what worked and what
did not work focusing on ALL three domains of learning!!
