Wed Oct 27 Understanding Curriculum Standards Workshop

(Spanish Wed Nov 3)
Attention elementary and middle school parents! Find out what your child is supposed to
know and be able to do by the end of the school year and how these standards are used in
the new report cards to inform parents of student progress.
Both events offered 6: 00-7: 30.

Wed November 3: East Bay LGBTQ Inclusive Schools Forum

Our Family Coalition is sponsoring a forum which offers a great opportunity to strategize
with other parents, teachers, and administrators from East Bay schools about how to
integrate family diversity curriculum, LGBTQ policies, anti-bullying efforts, and gender
issues in our schools.

evening at Lawrence Hall of Science to view the exhibit:

6:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Lawrence Hall of Science
Scream Machines is a head-spinning, stomach-churning exhibition for thrill-seekers of all
ages. Interactive exhibits, artifacts and images invite visitors to explore the physics of
roller coasters and the physiology and psychology of thrill-seeking.

This event is FREE of charge and open to all BUSD families,

students, faculty, and staff.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m., event ends at 8:30 p.m.
Note that the exhibit takes approximately one hour to view.
Lawrence Hall is on 1 Centennial Drive, east of the UC Berkeley campus, below Grizzly Peak, and just past the UC 
Botanical Gardens

The #65 bus runs hourly every day from the  The University runs shuttle buses Monday through Friday from 
downtown Berkeley BART station to LHS. For  the Berkeley BART Station to the main campus, and from the

Distrito a una tarde privada y gratuita en el Lawrence Hall of Science (Museo de
Ciencias Lawrence) para presenciar la exhibición:

Scream Machines es una exposición interactiva, con objetos e imágenes que invitan a explorar la
física de las montañas rusas y la fisiología y la psicología de la búsqueda de emociones.

Las puertas se abren a las 6:00 p.m., el evento termina a las 8:30 p.m.

montaña al final de la parte este de la Universidad de Berkeley, debajo de
