BIOGRAPHY
Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) was
born in Boston, the son of two actors who
died before his third birthday. He was raised
in the United States and England by John
Allan, with whom he had a troubled
relationship. Poe’s adult life was difficult, too.
He earned only a meager living from his
writings. Still, during his short life he wrote
poems and stories that have made him one of
the best-known American authors. A critic has
called his verse “easy but unforgettable”

IV. Generalization
“Based on the poem presented, define “Repetition is the use of a word or group of

Count off from 1 to 5 and form your group. I
will give you ten minutes to prepare. Use
some parts of the poem for the script. Use
repetition. I will grade each group using the
following criteria.
