Quantitative Research Design Overview

There are four main types of quantitative research designs: descriptive research which observes behaviors without manipulating variables; correlational research which explores relationships between non-controlled variables; quasi-experimental research which tests for causality with suboptimal variable control; and experimental research which tests causality through optimal variable control including an independent variable that is directly manipulated.
