The contractor shall submit the design & the detailed layout of dewatering system for the
Engineer’s approval. The dewatering system shall run 24 hours and would maintained till
downward pressure exerted by the building equals upward thrust from soil. At minimum 0.00
level according to specifications.
Site Works
All excavation will be done using machines and the backfilling will be compacted by roller plate
compactor and inspected by the engineer at different levels. Areas that are deeper than the
water table will be carried out by the use of well‐point dewatering system. Earthwork will be
carried out to complete all site clearing excavation, filling and grading including preparation of
sub‐grade for slabs and pavement. Work will include the following:
1. Excavation to the level of foundations
2. Paved areas and kerbs
3. Filling grading and compaction
4. Testing
5. Clearing away surplus excavated material
Termite Control
Approved material for termite control will be used on site.
The concrete will be obtained from an approved ready mix plant as per approved design mix and
will be transported to site by transit mixers by sequencing their movement in order to avoid
under waiting period. Concrete discharge to the required formwork will be arranged by concrete
pumps or by bucket crane depending upon location of casting. All precautions shall be taken
during casting at hot weather in order to guarantee quality of concrete as per specifications. All
concrete will be compacted using vibrators and casted concrete will be protected and cured as
per specifications.
