1 Buttons

2 Required software
The following software should be attached to this setup guide:

- Odin 3.12.7,
- Samsung’s Mobile Device Drivers (SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe),
- J530F_TWRP_3.2.1.0.tar,
- probo_patcher.apk
- Probo_kernel_1.0.zip

Before starting installation make sure that you have all of this files.

3 Device preparation
1. Open Settings and go to About phone tab that can be found on the very bottom of the list.

2. Go to Software information and tap seven times on Build number.

 3. Go to phone Settings main screen once again. Below About phone you should see
Developer options tab.

4. Enter Developer options and activate OEM unlock.

4 Software installation
1. Install on your PC USB drivers (file SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe in
attachment).
2. Next turn off device and turn it on again holding [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power Key].
3. When similiar to following screen appears press [Volume Up] button.

4. Open file Odin3.exe on your PC, that can be found in folder Odin3 v3.12.7.
5. Connect phone to PC using USB cable

 6. In Odin3 click on AP button and choose file J530F_TWRP_3.2.1.0.tar, that can be found
in attachment

7. Go to Options tab and uncheck Auto Reboot.

 8. Press Start button. After a few minutes window should look like on following picture.

9. Hold [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power]. When device begins to launch again stop
pressing [Volume Down] and instead hold [Volume Up] (don’t stop holding
[Home]+[Power] buttons).
10. TWRP should launch. If not, turn phone off and launch it again holding [Volume Up] +
[Home] + [Power].
11. On TWRP welcome screen, swipe right Swipe to Allow Modifications.
12. Choose Wipe from menu, and next Format Data.
13. In text field write yes and tap the only one blue button on the screen to confirm.
Device’s internal memory will be formatted.

 14. When the process is finished, choose middle button on the bottom of the screen (marked
with red circle on photo).

 15. Phone’s internal memory should be visible from PC.

Open phone’s internal storage and copy following files into it:

- probo.apk
- Probo_kernel_1.0.zip
- probo_patcher.apk

 16. From TWRP menu on the phone choose Install option. Scroll list of folders and choose
one named sdcard. In case of selecting a wrong one you can go back using (Up A Level).

 17. Then choose file Probo_kernel_1.0.zip and swipe Swipe to confirm Flash.

 18. Reboot the phone by tapping on Reboot System button. Then select Do Not Install, like in
the picture below.

The phone will be preparing for the first launch during boot. It can last up to 5 minutes.

 19. After setting up the device, open menu containing list of applications and choose folder
Samsung and My Files.

20. In application enter Internal storage. Scroll down the list of files and tap on
probo_patcher.apk.

 21. Dialog window, as on the screenshot below, should appear. Tap Settings button and then
Unknown sources in Lock screen and security window.
22. Select OK in Unknown sources dialog.
23. Package installer window will appear, confirm installation of Lucky Patcher by choosing
INSTALL.

 24. After launching Lucky Patcher dialog window should appear. Tap GRANT button.
Do not update the application, when proposed. Newer versions may not work correctly
with Galaxy J5 2017.

 25. Select Toolbox tab on the bottom of the screen.

 26. Then tap on Patch to Android option.

 27. In opened dialog check Disable signature verification in the package manager and press
Apply button.

 28. The phone shoud be automatically restarted.
29. After restart go to Samsung as in paragraph 19.
30. By analogy to the previous steps, choose Internal storage. Go to very bottom of the list
and choose probo.apk. Then proceed as in paragraphs 21 – 23.

Probo is ready for launching.
